B.C. Debates ‘Silver Alert’ to Quickly Find Missing Seniors

The province of British Columbia is considering implementing a "Silver Alert" program in order to help find missing seniors. The program is very similar to the widely known "Amber Alert" program which uses social media, TV, and radio to help locate missing children. In Ontario a "Silver Advisory" program to locate missing seniors has been in effect since 2011. Several US States have "Silver Alert" programs and the US Senate is currently entertaining a bill that encourages a nationally integrated "Silver Alert" system.
